Every status, count and sentence on this site comes from one dataset. You can download it, reuse it and build on it. As of October 26, 2026, 27 US states have age-verification laws for adult sites in effect, and Pornhub blocks 25 of them.

slug- Stable identifier, also the page path (/usa/texas, /uk).
kind- us_state, country, bloc (the EU) or federal (the US federal context).
law_status- in_effect, enacted_not_yet_effective, enjoined, repealed, bill_pending (an adult-site bill has had a hearing, vote or floor debate in the last 90 days) or no_law.
law- Short name of the law used in sentences (a bill number or statute name).
citation- Statute or official citation.
signed- Date the law was signed or passed.
effective- Date the age-verification duty took or takes effect.
pornhub- What Pornhub itself does: blocked, verifies, available or unclear.
pornhub_since- Date Pornhub began blocking, where known.
pornhub_qualifier- Short note for partial access (for example, existing accounts only).
answer- The generated one-paragraph answer shown on the page.
confidence- high: confirmed against a primary source; medium: consistent secondary sources only. Low-confidence rows are never published.
last_verified- Date a researcher last checked the row against its sources.
sources- Every source, with type (statute, legislature, court, government, regulator, news, tracker, other), publication date and access date.
How it's made
Each row is checked against primary sources: statutes, legislature records, court dockets and regulator releases. Pornhub's status comes from news reporting or regulators, because we don't visit adult sites.
